Synopsis

‘Saraswati’s Blessing’ is a celebration of the multifaceted expressions of art found in the streets. From Margie Scharff and her gleanings amongst the garbage in downtown Delhi streets – assembled into exquisite collages – to ‘beds on which dreams are woven’, ‘listening trees’, hands adorned with henna and lush red sofas painted on the crumbling walls of a tea shop. Wherever and whatever, the goddess Saraswati, patron of the arts, is ever present.
